Our History

Angels Asana & Ale is organized by a Phoenix couple, Jennifer & Rodger Huberty, whose baby girl Raine Madilynne was stillborn January 27th, 2011. This event exists to honor her memory and raise money to help support traumatically grieving parents and siblings. The proceeds go to help build the MISS Foundation’s Selah House to support bereaved individuals in crisis while also caring for rescued animals on 10-acres of lush land near Sedona, Arizona.

FEATURING SPECIAL GUESTS…

John is a rainbow baby (the baby born after a child death) and a dedicated yogi. His commitment to his own practice and the way he teaches his students, is inspiring. John is loved and sought after by so many in our community and he has impacted many lives. It is with deep gratitude that we are able to announce he will be teaching for the third year.

Justin’s sense of humor and connection to his inner-self will make the yoga class one you won’t want to miss. Justin will be joining John as they lead us through our yoga journey.

We couldn’t be happier to have Rob Riccardo play live music at our event. Rob developed his own blend of folk, rock and reggae infused with a heavy serving of conscious lyrics. Come ready to feel the lyrics in Rob’s songs.

Meet Kylee, our MC and your local morning show reporter for 3TV & CBS 5 in Phoenix. You can catch Kylee weekdays on “Good Morning Arizona” & “Wake Up Arizona” and on January 26th at our event!

Help us build The Selah House

All proceeds benefit the MISS Foundation, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families who suffer the deaths of their children. Funds will build the Selah House, the first-ever Carefarm and respite center for the traumatically bereaved in the world founded by Dr. Joanne Cacciatore, an Associate Professor at Arizona State University.

The Selah House Carefarm offers a sanctuary for grieving families and also for abused animals that have been rescued and now live in this sanctuary. Grieving adults and children learn to build relationships with these animals who also know suffering and that leads to comfort for all. The Selah House Carefarm is a place where grieving families can go in their traumatic grief to be with nature, breath clean air, care for 23 vulnerable farm animals, get trauma-informed counseling, and just be with their authentic emotions.

Ways you can support the Selah House Carefarm and help make a difference in the lives of those coping with the loss of a child include sponsorship opportunities and silent auction item donations. Please contact Alyssa Kapranopoulos at 925-683-1170 or via email at [email protected]
